Millville, NJ – September 20, 2005 – Dr.
Edward H. Salmon, Founder and Chairman of Salmon Ventures Limited (SVL)
announced today the appointment of Robert J. (Tony) Surace
as Vice President of SVL.
Chairman Salmon stated, “We are very proud to have
Tony Surace joining the SVL team.” Dr. Salmon continued, “He will
serve as an invaluable asset to our clients”. President Kim Schalek Downes added, “Mr. Surace
brings a wealth of experience and achievement to our company”.
Having dedicated 36 years to
the Millville School System, Mr. Surace assumed
many roles including teacher, coach, athletic director and
administrator. Some of Mr. Surace’s responsibilities during his tenure
in the school district included serving as K-12 supervisor of health,
physical education instructor, intramural sports and interscholastic
athletics leader with total program responsibilities covering 6,000
students in nine school buildings.
As a championship head coach for twenty-five years, he was
inducted into the West Chester University Football Hall of Fame, South
Jersey Football Hall of Fame,
and New Jersey Interscholastic Coaches Hall of Fame.
Mr. Surace
received his BS degree from West Chester State College and MS degree
from Rowan
University. Tony and his wife, Barbara, have been
married for 38 years. They have
two sons – Bob, an NFL Coach for the Cincinnati Bengals, and Brian, a football coach at Northeastern
University. They also cherish their only
granddaughter – Alison Lilly Surace.

SCOUTS TO HONOR EDWARD SALMON, ED.D., AS
2005 DISTINGUISHED CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
The Boy Scouts of
America (BSA) Cumberland District will honor Edward Salmon, Ed.D.,
as the 2005 Distinguished Citizen of the Year.
For the third
year, the BSA’s Cumberland District is
honoring a local community member that epitomizes the BSA’s role as the nation's foremost youth
character development program. The BSA’s
mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices
over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath
and Law.
Salmon is being
honored for his eclectic contributions to the local community through
both his professional and civic careers. He has served the local
community and youths as a teacher and hall-of-fame basketball coach at Millville
High School.
He also served as mayor of Millville,
assemblyman and Cumberland
County
freeholder, among other elected and appointed government positions.
Salmon also has held numerous board positions, demonstrating his
commitment to move the state and local area forward both economically
and socially.

JOHN GARTON JOINS SALMON VENTURES TEAM
Millville, NJ Mr. Garton, a graduate of Rowan University, recently joined the
Salmon Ventures team. Mr. Garton possesses a degree in economics,
specializing in global economics, healthcare economics, money and
banking, and government.
Prior to joining Salmon Ventures, John
worked for a major computer manufacturing firm in many capacities which
included improving management effectiveness and the development &
implementation of more effective human resources strategies.
Mr. Garton also is active in the fire
service. He serves as a firefighter and is certified as a fire official
and fire inspector.
